Not only is Haven coming back, it has been renewed for a 26-episode Season 5, 13 of which are expected to air in the fall of 2014, and the other 13 – in 2015.
Haven follows the story of Audrey Parker (Emily Rose), a former FBI Agent and now a cop working in Haven, Maine, who is trying to uncover the mystery of her past with the help of her partner Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant) and an illegal businessman-slash-smuggler-slash-a-lot-of-other-things Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour).
After the killer cliffhanger Season 4 finale left us with, the fans were literary holding their breaths for weeks on end waiting for SyFy to make their final decision about the fate of the show. And SyFy did not disappoint! 26 episodes, guys! Twice more than a regular season! No wonder it took them forever to announce it!
The production of the show will start in the spring of 2014 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
So far, there is no information on whether or not this mega season will be the end of the show.
Meanwhile, we’re more than welcome to speculate about what’s going to happen next! How and when will Audrey Parker come back? Who is Mara going to recruit to help her bring William from beyond the magical door leading to other worlds? What’s happening to Duke and how can they save him? And what about Jennifer? Is she dead? I sure hope not! All things considered, it will be a looooong summer!
But either way, I think it’s safe to call the Haven renewal news worth of 10 years of Christmas and Birthday wishes combined! 😀
